Rand Abdul Nour is a multifaceted creator, specializing in production design, art education, community outreach, and various drawing and painting mediums. Her art explores a wide range of human experiences with a sociopolitical perspective, often grounded in academic principles and enriched by her fascination with the natural world. Rand's artistic journey includes solo and joint exhibitions in the United States and Jordan.
During her undergraduate studies, Rand ventured into film and media productions as a scenic painter and sculptor, driven by her conceptual approach to art and passion for visual storytelling. Today, she actively contributes to local and international films as a production designer, art director, set decorator, or scenic painter, her work extends to TV series, music videos, short films, and commercials.
In addition to her film work, Rand has an extensive experience in art education. She taught at King's Academy and the University of Jordan, eventually leading the Department of Fine and Performing Arts at King’s Academy. Passionate about using art as a catalyst for change, Rand co-founded AlMasbak, a transformative community outreach project. Under AlMasbak, she co-developed Alolbah, an initiative promoting self-directed learning and creativity in communities where art education is often overlooked. Rand's educational achievements include a 2010 Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Jordan. In 2015, she was honored with the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship, which she used to pursue a Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing at the renowned Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. With a deep dedication to artistic growth and a genuine desire to use art for positive impact, Rand Abdul Nour aspires to nurture the artistic potential within individuals and communities alike.
